FRISCO, TX, (DATE) – Urban Edge Network, the streaming home of all Legends games, is making history broadcasting the first ever Thrivent HBCU Classic featuring a double-header of a Paul Quinn College game and a Legends preseason game.
The Classic will be held on Nov. 4th at Paul Quinn. It opens with a 1:30pm matchup between the Paul Quinn women’s team and Texas Wesleyan. At 4pm, the Legends take the court hosting the Austin Spurs in the G League’s first ever game held at an HBCU.
“We are thrilled to host our first Thrivent HBCU Classic at Paul Quinn,” said Legends President Malcolm Farmer. “We have the opportunity to showcase multiple partnerships in this event and get our partners working together in a unique way.”
UEN will be doing a live broadcast of both games, making it the first time the PQC basketball program will be broadcast on the streaming platform and the debut of the UEN-Legends partnership.
“When Malcolm told us about the Classic, we couldn’t say yes fast enough,” said UEN Founder/Chief Revenue Officer Hardy Pelt. “We are excited to be tipping off the Legends partnership in a major way but also introducing our streamers to Paul Quinn and highlighting their top-tier women’s program. It’s a win for all of us.”
Tickets can be purchased at the door and availability will be limited. The Legends open the 2023-24 season at home, hosting the Oklahoma City Blue Nov. 10th and 11th at 7:30pm. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
