TEXAS LEGENDS ACQUIRE RETURNING RIGHTS TO JOEL MANTYNEN IN TRADE WITH RGV

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have completed a trade with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, acquiring the returning rights to Finnish forward Joel Mäntynen in exchange for Garrett Denbow.

Mäntynen, the 11th overall pick in the 2025 NBA G League International Draft, spent last season competing for PS Karlsruhe Lions (Germany) and BK Levicki Patrioti Levice (Slovakia). Across both stints, he averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists, shooting 47.0% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range.

Denbow appeared in 9 games for the Legends during the 2024–25 campaign, averaging 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game.

The Texas Legends open the 2025–26 season on the road Friday, November 7th, against the Osceola Magic, with live coverage on KFAA and Urban Edge Network (UEN).
