Stars Light Up Legends In Second Half

The Texas Legends (10-13) relinquished a double-digit lead in the second half to be overtaken by the Salt Lake City Stars (7-16) 102-108 Tuesday night in Frisco.

The two teams exchanged leads four times in the first, but the Legends carried a 25-20 advantage at the buzzer.  The home team’s edge grew to double-digits early in the second before a 7-0 run brought the Stars within five.  Salt Lake City pulled within two with 31 seconds left but a Moses Wright slam at the last second gave Texas a 59-53 lead at the break.  The Stars opened the third with a 29-10 run to take control.  Texas tied it up with 3:44 to play, but the visitors went 8-of-10 from the line in the final three minutes to hold off the home team’s comeback efforts.

Feron Hunt led all scorers with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Moses Wright, in his first appearance with the Legends, powered out 24 points and 12 rebounds.  Carlik Jones also added a double-double with 14 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Three Stars players finished with double-doubles led by Marques Bolden (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Xavier Sneed (18 points, 10 rebounds).  Jared Wilson-Frame topped the scoring efforts with 26 points, 6 rebounds, and Carsen Edwards added 25 points, 6 assists.
