Miller Leads The Pack Past Legends

The Iowa Wolves (5-1) used a 30-point performance from Isaiah Miller off the bench to overtake the Texas Legends (4-3) 111-85 in the Sunday afternoon matchup in Des Moines.

The game opened with over two minutes of scoreless play on both sides before Texas took the first points at the free throw line.  The Legends carried the lead through most of the first but allowed the Wolves to finish 8-2 to take a 25-23 advantage into the second.  Texas grabbed the first basket again in the second to tie it up, but Iowa responded with a 21-2 run and maintained a double-digit gap through the final buzzer.

In their lowest scoring match of the season, the Legends had just three players finish in double digits, led by Justin Jackson with 23 points, 9 rebounds.  Carlik Jones added 17 points, 7 assists, and Loudon Love finished with 11 points, 4 steals.

Isaiah Miller came off the bench to power the Wolves with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Vincent Edwards grabbed the game’s only double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds, and Leandro Bolmaro tagged on 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.  Malik Benlevi added 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks off the bench.
