MILES POSTS CAREER HIGH IN LOSS TO OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, (Feb. 6, 2024) – Mike Miles Jr. posted a career-high 30 points as the Texas Legends (8-8) fell to the Oklahoma City Blue (8-9) 94-145.

Miles shot 9-of-18 and grabbed 4 rebounds to lead the Legends.  Justin Jackson added 17 points, 3 rebounds, and Joe Wieskamp came off the bench for 13 points, 7 rebounds.  Dexter Dennis rounded out the double figures with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. 

Keyontae Johnson led the Blue with 29 points, 7 rebounds while Olivier Sarr finished with 12 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.  Jahmi’us Ramsey came off the bench for 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. 

The Blue led wire-to-wire after grabbing the first basket off the tip.  With four minutes left in the first the home team went up 13, but the Legends finished on a 16-6 run.  The Legends stayed close through the second, fighting off a double-digit deficit to go into halftime down 61-70.  Oklahoma City finished the third with a 12-point streak taking a 27-point advantage into the fourth and nearly doubled the gap outscoring Texas 41-17 in the final.

The Legends travel to Memphis next to take on the Hustle Friday at 7pm CT and Sunday at 1pm.  Both games will be broadcast live on the UEN app and urbanedge.network.
