MAVERICKS SIGN ALEX FUDGE TO TWO-WAY CONTRACT

DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed forward Alex Fudge to a Two-Way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fudge (6-8, 200) signed a Two-Way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 26, after competing for the club’s summer league team. He appeared in four games for the Lakers this year and was a member of the team that won the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament championship.

The 20-year-old was waived by Los Angeles on Jan. 6, and joined the club’s G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, on Jan. 10. In 18 regular-season games for South Bay in 2023-24, he averaged 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 17.3 minutes per game. He also appeared in six Showcase Cup games (three starts) for South Bay and averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 21.7 minutes.

The Lauderhill, Florida, native began his collegiate career at LSU before transferring to Florida following his freshman season. In 32 games (11 starts) for the Gators in 2022-23, Fudge averaged 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.3 minutes. He declared for the NBA Draft following his sophomore season.

Fudge will wear No. 3 for the Mavericks.
