MAVERICKS RE-SIGN BRANDON WILLIAMS TO TWO-WAY CONTRACT

DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have re-signed guard Brandon Williams to a Two-Way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Williams (6-1, 190) holds career NBA averages of 8.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 18.4 minutes in 41 games (16 starts) with the Portland Trail Blazers and Mavericks. He has also appeared in 40 career regular-season G League games (36 starts) with the Westchester Knicks, College Park Skyhawks and Texas Legends, averaging 20.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.1 minutes.

The 24-year-old originally signed a Two-Way deal with the Mavericks on Dec. 28, 2023, and appeared in 17 games with the club last season, averaging 3.2 points and 1.0 assists in 6.6 minutes per game. He also saw action in seven games (five starts) for the Legends 2023-24, averaging 24.1 points (.477 FG%, .875 FT%), 5.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.0 minutes. Williams recorded his second career triple-double (33 points, 12 rebounds, 13 assists) in a win over the G League Ignite on Feb. 27, and subsequently posted a career-high 46 points during a victory over the G League South Bay Lakers on March 2.

Before signing with Dallas midway through the 2023-24 campaign, Williams appeared in 14 G League games (13 starts) for the Osceola Magic during the 2023 Showcase Cup, averaging 22.4 points (.479 FG%, .376 3FG%, .833 FT%), 4.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals in 31.9 minutes. The former Arizona guard went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, beginning his rookie season with Westchester in 2021-22. Williams signed a 10-day contract and a Two-Way deal with Portland on Dec. 26, 2021, and Feb. 22, 2022, respectively. Additionally, Williams teamed with Mavericks guard AJ Lawson during his 2022-23 campaign with College Park.
