Legends Wrap Up 2021-22 Season In Style

By Texas Legends Staff /June 3, 2022

FRISCO, TX, (June 3, 2022) – The Texas Legends set new franchise records this season across the business board.

The Legends finished the 2021-22 season with franchise records in both season-long and single-game categories, setting new highs in attendance, single-game tickets sold, season tickets sold, corporate partnerships, merchandise, and events.

“Our team will never settle,” said Legends President Malcolm Farmer.  “We want to continue growing, continue setting new records and knocking them down, continue pushing ourselves to the limits, and continue serving our fans and community in impactful ways.”

The Legends used the “bonus year,” as Farmer calls it, to build up their premium experience.  The Legends Family was treated to a bonus year of events, networking, and new opportunities.  That rolled into the 2021-22 season with a bang as premium members came back to even more in-person events and found even more fun in the games and Owners Club.  From Friday night happy hours to reunion party plazas, members gained more connections, more partnerships, and more insight, and made memories in the process.

“We used the year to grow, not just as a team or individual staff members but as a family.  We found new ways to connect with our clients, knowing it was more important than ever to stay connected and reach out.  We tried to take our service levels to new heights, creating opportunities for our fans and local business owners to grow because the only world we wanted was one where we ALL came back stronger.”

Using that same mindset in the community, the team found creative ways to continue serving safely whether through virtual invites or safely coordinated events.  The Legends joined with long-time partner Legacy Plumbing to create “The Legacy of Kindness: Kindness Movement.”  The two organizations are using a multi-faceted program to spread kindness in a world that needs it.

“Again, our focus was not so much on our own numbers as it was on building up our community.  We all went through this life-altering experience and are all trying to come back from that in differing variations, so we as a team want to make sure that our community members are welcomed back in outstanding fashion and that they’re safe and cared for in the process.  That meant getting flexible in our service times and finding new ways to meet needs.”

The final game of the 2021-22 season was record-setting for the franchise, not only in attendance but in fan experience overall.  The crowd finished the regular season in style with the loudest celebration possible as the team ended their home stint with a victory.

“We had a lot of wins both on and off the court this year, but it’s the smiles we see in the small moments that make it all worth it.  And we had more of those than ever this year, so we’re rolling into even more fun this offseason to prepare for a new, bigger, better, crazier, and fun-filled 2022-23 season.”

The Legends turn their focus to their upcoming 12th season in Frisco looking to celebrate in extraordinary fashion with the fans that made all success possible. To become part of the Legends family call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
