Legends Tame Wolves

The Texas Legends (13-13) overcame a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to take down the Iowa Wolves (11-13) 115-109.
The first half stayed close, with the largest gap coming seconds from the buzzer when Brandon Sampson sent up a three to put the Wolves up 59-52. The Wolves controlled the third quarter, but Texas tied it up at the line with seconds to play before McKinley Wright put up one last shot to take an 86-84 lead into the final quarter. Iowa opened the fourth on a 12-0 streak to build the largest gap (+14) of the night. Texas responded with a rally, finishing the night on a 31-11 run to defend their home court.
Carlik Jones led all scorers with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Moses Wright finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and Justin Jackson added 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Feron Hunt and Olin Carter III grabbed 15 points and 11 points respectively to round out the double-digit scorers, and James Banks posted a game-high 5 blocks to go with 5 rebounds.
Chris Silva and McKinley Wright IV grabbed 18 points each to lead the Wolves’ efforts while Matt Lewis and Brandon Sampson tagged on a pair of 17. Melvin Frazier Jr. dominated the boards with 15 while adding 13 points.
