LEGENDS TAKE CONTROL OF CRUISE

FRISCO, TX, (Jan. 6, 2024) - The Texas Legends (3-1) took down the Motor City Cruise (3-2) 107-92 in front of another sold-out home crowd.
Tyler Hall grabbed the first points for Texas with an outside shot in the opening run. Texas built a five-point lead within three minutes, but the Cruise went on a 9-2 run to take over and built their largest lead of the night (+9) before the first buzzer. The Legends took control with a 31-15 second quarter and the Cruise never recovered.
Malcolm Cazalon opened the second half with an outside jumper to bring Motor City within four, but that was the closest the visitors would get to a comeback. Texas opened the fourth with another long ball from Dexter Dennis to make it a double-digit gap and held it through the final buzzer extending their win streak to three games.
Greg Brown III led all scorers with his third straight double-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. Olivier-Maxence Prosper made a splash in his second appearance with the team, adding 22 points, 11 rebounds. Justin Jackson finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, and Theo Pinson rounded out the double figures with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Jared Rhoden led the Cruise with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists while Tosan Evbuomwan added 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Zavier Simpson finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Nathan Knight tagged on 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
