LEGENDS SPLIT SERIES IN RIP CITY

PORTLAND, OR, (Mar. 12, 2024) – The Texas Legends (15-13) blasted through the first quarter but ran out of steam before halftime, falling to the Rip City Remix (15-11) 127-116.

The Legends came out hot, clipping 70% (62% outside) and building a 23-point lead in the first.  Olivier-Maxence Prosper powered out 12 points in the first as the Legends tipped to a 10-0 run and held the double-digit advantage for most of the quarter.  The tables quickly turned in the second when the Remix opened with a 20-4 run and ultimately closed in on the visitors, taking a 64-62 edge at the half.  The lead change in the final seconds of the first half was the only of the game as the Remix fended off Texas’ comeback efforts, building a double-digit gap through most of the final quarter. 

Justin Jackson led the Legends’ scoring efforts with 20 points while Prosper finished with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.  Warith Alatishe grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds along with 6 points, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, and Erik Stevenson came off the bench for 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Alex Fudge tagged on 14 points, 4 rebounds while Theo Pinson tallied 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Tyler Hall finished the double figures with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. 

Three Remix players finished with 24 points led by Taze Moore with a near triple-double of 9 rebounds, 13 assists.  Kevin Knox and Ashton Hagans matched the 24 and Justin Minaya added 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.  The Legends head to Austin to finish up their five-game road trip Thursday at 7pm CT on the UEN app and urbanedge.network.
