Official Release | January 6, 2018

FRISCO, TX (Jan. 6, 2018) – Helping create a more inclusive society is a priority for both the Texas Legends and Toyota. That is why on Saturday, Jan. 6, the Legends will host Best Buddies Charity Night, presented by Toyota, raising awareness for intellectual and developmental disabilities non-profit Best Buddies.

Best Buddies International is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated solely to providing opportunities for friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded by Anthony K. Shriver, the organization has more than 2,300 middle, high school and college chapters, and in nearly 50 countries around the world.

“One of our missions is to increase inclusivity in sport, which is why the partnership with Toyota and Best Buddies makes sense,” said Legends President/General Manager Malcolm Farmer. “We are proud to partner with Toyota, who shares in this aim, to bring additional awareness to this cause.”

Toyota will host a party for local Best Buddies participants prior to the game and will utilize the night to honor and celebrate these participants and educate fans on the efforts of both organizations in bettering our community. The team also will suit up in custom jerseys branded with both the Best Buddies and Toyota logos.

The Legends will host the Iowa Wolves on Best Buddies night, with the game tipping off at 7:30pm CT. Tickets are available by calling 214-469-0822 or on the website at www.TexLegends.com.
