Legends Partner With On The Border To Honor Local Heroes

By Texas Legends Staff /January 19, 2021

The Legends have announced a new partnership with On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina focused on celebrating local heroes.

The new partnership will give the Legends the opportunity to extend a program that started with the pandemic in 2020—feeding the front line. The Legends team up with partners to provide meals to frontline workers, first responders, and educators.

“We were getting calls from various partners and community leaders about local people going above and beyond their call of duty,” said Legends President Malcolm Farmer. “We jumped at the opportunity to highlight those heroes and show them that they’re appreciated. Now we get to expand that program thanks to the partnership with On The Border.”

On The Border was born in Dallas in 1982 and has since expanded nation-wide, including more than 20 locations in the DFW Metroplex. As part of the partnership, the Legends will engage their fanbase in On The Border givebacks, and On The Border will have marketing elements in Legends e-blasts and through the Owner’s Club Networking Series.

“Our goal with On The Border was to develop a partnership that revolved around community giveback, starting with two locations: Preston/121 and Custer/121 in McKinney. Both of our teams are focused on outreach—especially during this time—and we will be able to join together in those efforts to expand our reach.”
