Legends Partner With Legacy Plumbing on "Legacy Of Kindness" Movement

By Texas Legends Staff /November 26, 2021

The Texas Legends are proud to announce a unique new partnership with Legacy Plumbing.  The partnership centers around the “Legacy of Kindness” Movement, a full-faceted activation that aims to spread kindness in a time when the world needs it most.

Legacy Plumbing has partnered with the Legends for eight years and has always centered their partnership around community activations -- co-founding the Mission of the Month program, backing threes for charity, and hosting a variety of non-profit organizations at games.

“Our partnership with Legacy has always been one that focuses on bettering the community around us,” said Malcolm Farmer, President of the Legends.  “It’s important to the Young family that this partnership is always bigger than marketing their business.  This year we took that to a broader need, one that we felt impacted everyone.”

Legacy Plumbing is a family owned and operated business that has been servicing the North Dallas area for more than 15 years.  Though their headquarters are in Frisco, Legacy focuses on impacting all communities they serve.  With strong values backed by stronger culture, Legacy employees buy into the vision: the Legacy Way.

“The Youngs have built such a strong culture in their business that you can trust every single employee has their values at heart.  They are truly changing the way business is done in this area, and we are proud to partner with an organization like that.”

The Kindness Movement was born out of a desire by both organizations to make actual change in the community.

“We sat down with our employees when the pandemic first started and had a family discussion,” said Legacy Plumbing Owner Michelle Young.  “What we all decided was to make it through, we had to focus on the positive.  Focus on what we could change, not what was out of our control.  We started looking for little ways we could make a positive change, simple things we could do for our customers and community that would make their world a little better.”

The Kindness Movement focuses on highlighting kindness in others, while inspiring the community to continue spreading the one thing all need.

“With that mission in mind, we felt like the Legacy of Kindness Movement was the perfect opportunity to join forces with the Legends and expand the platform.”

The Kindness Movement will celebrate stories of kindness through the website – www.LegacyofKindness.net.  Stories will be selected and celebrated by the Legends and Legacy at games and online.  The two teams have also partnered to create “Kindness Cards” handed out for acts of kindness and used to reward those acts through gifts from Legacy and other Legends partners.

The Legacy of Kindness Movement will also facilitate community-wide service events throughout the year.  For the first event, the two organizations held a drive-thru Thanksgiving dinner donation at the Comerica Center on Nov. 19th.
