Legends Host Frisco ISD Night, presented by Worldwide Specialty Chemicals

Official Release | November 13, 2018

The Texas Legends have developed a new partnership with Worldwide Specialty Chemicals that will celebrate and benefit the students of Frisco ISD. On Wednesday, Nov. 14th the Legends and WSC will host Frisco ISD night at the game, highlight the district’s achievements and raising money for the Frisco Education Foundation.

Frisco ISD night will shine a spotlight on the district’s top students, with all performances throughout the night being Frisco ISD groups. The night will also serve as a fundraiser for the Frisco Education Foundation with a special link to tickets (https://groupmatics.events/event/FriscoISDNight) for all FISD students and families. The link features $5 tickets with all funds going to FEF.

“We are so proud to be a part of this community and support the students and families that surround us,” said Legends President/General Manager Malcolm Farmer. “Frisco ISD night is our opportunity to recognize and celebrate the efforts of those students and say a thank you to the school district that’s always been so supportive of our team.”

The Frisco Education Foundation focuses on maximizing the potential of local youths by donating scholarships, investing in educational programs and funding grants for FISD educators. In the past 19 years, the foundation has awarded more than $6.5 million in scholarships and approximately $778,000 in educator grants.

Worldwide Specialty Chemicals is an international specialty chemical company based out of Dallas, TX. The company focuses on developing and producing “green chemicals” that are friendly to the environment and targeted for governments, businesses, and consumers. The partnership with the Legends to host FISD night was born out of the company’s emphasis on furthering education for the youth of America and a desire to deeply connect with the North Dallas community.

On Wednesday, the Legends will wear specialty jerseys designed with the Worldwide Specialty Chemicals logo and color scheme. The jerseys also include the FISD logo and themed markings, including custom numbers that have all 69 of the Frisco ISD schools’ names printed inside.

The Legends (2-2) will host the Stockton Kings (2-3) for the first of three matchups between the Legends and the newly relocated Sacramento Kings affiliate. The final two games will be played on the road in Stockton but the Legends will hope to use their home court advantage to take an early lead on the season series. Wednesday’s game tips off at 7pm and more information can be found at www.TexLegends.com.
