Legends Host All Abilities Night, Presented by the Beautiful Lives Project
By Texas Legends Staff /March 7, 2022
The Texas Legends have teamed up with The Beautiful Lives Project to host a night that celebrates inclusivity and the special abilities of all people. The All Abilities Night, presented by The Beautiful Lives Project, will feature guest performers, game night staff, on-court and television personalities, and social media hosts with varying forms of physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.
The Beautiful Lives Project exists to give people with disabilities the opportunity to actively participate in events and activities that may not otherwise be open to them. The organization works with local community groups to create these immersive life experiences around sports, arts, nature, and wellness.
“The Beautiful Lives Project is an incredible organization that provides opportunities for people to live their best life,” said Legends President Malcolm Farmer. “Stacy and her team go above and beyond for the people they serve, and they truly are making a difference in our community.”
All Abilities Night will feature pre-game performances from Maylee and The Mayor as well as an exhibition game featuring My Possibilities’ basketball teams. Members of the special needs community will greet fans upon their arrival, and God Bless America will be performed by a member of the Hugs Café team. Blake Lindsay of To Be Like Me will be co-hosting the television broadcast alongside Jared Sandler and Ty Ellis, and Cornerstone Ranch personality Molly will be the in-game host joining the Legends’ tag team of Laurina and Jersey.
Throughout the year, The Beautiful Lives Project hosts camps and clinics with the Legends, targeted at all ability levels, to help get their community active and moving. The two also host virtual PE programs with Coaches Byron and Kalynn that are broadcast to BLP chapters nationwide.
“Our partnership with Beautiful Lives allows us to expand on our current health initiatives to be more inclusive, and engage the special needs community into the Legends family. We have a blast with every event, and we are excited to highlight all of our friends and celebrate their talents tomorrow night.”
A limited number of tickets are still available for tomorrow night’s game. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
