The Texas Legends (8-5) powered out a fourth quarter comeback to win their first Winter Showcase match against the Westchester Knicks (7-5) 110-106.

The Knicks grabbed the first basket and led for nearly four quarters.  Facing an 11-point difference with just under 10 minutes to play, the Legends went to work.  Using a 12-point effort from Carlik Jones, Texas took their first lead of the game at just over two minutes on the clock.  The two teams exchanged baskets, but Jones took the final lead for Texas with 32 seconds to play.  A thunderous dunk from Feron Hunt with 10 seconds left put Texas out of reach.

Hunt led all scorers with a full slate of 29 points, 5, rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a game-leading 3 blocks.  Jones hit all six from the line and finished with 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Olin Carter III added 23 points, 4 rebounds, and a game-high 5 steals, and Loudon Love rounded out the double-digits with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Brandon Williams led the Knicks’ efforts with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.  V.J. King and Kethan Savage each added 18 points and combined for 15 rebounds, and Lydell Elmore dominated the boards off the bench with 11, 4 points, and 2 blocks.

Texas will wrap up the Showcase Wednesday with a 1pm CT matchup against the College Park Skyhawks airing live on ESPNews.
