LEGENDS FALL IN SEASON FINALE

SANTA CRUZ, CA, (Mar. 25, 2023) – After 21 lead changes, the Santa Cruz Warriors (18-14) sealed the deal in the fourth quarter to wrap the season with a 134-111 win over the Texas Legends (7-25).
Texas took the first lead as Justin Jackson grabbed the opening basket, and the visitors found themselves holding the advantage at the first two quarter breaks. Coming out of halftime, the Warriors went on a 12-2 run early and built up the first double-digit lead of the night with one minute left in the third. Texas opened the fourth with back-to-back baskets to pull within three, but the Warriors took over from there, finishing 37-17. Santa Cruz shot 50% on the night while Texas hit 38%, and the home team dominated the boards 61-40.
Justin Jackson led the Legends’ scoring efforts with 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Amauri Hardy added 22 points, 8 assists, and Lacey James finished with a stat-stuffing double-double off the bench of 10 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
Four Warriors finished with double-doubles led by Lester Quinones with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.
