LEGENDS DROP ROAD FINALE TO OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, (Mar. 28, 2024) – The Texas Legends (18-15) dropped their final road match of the 2023-24 regular season to the Oklahoma City Blue (20-13) 132-113.

The Legends came out firing in the first, knocking down 59% overall and 67% outside.  Theo Pinson and Tyler Hall led the way with 19 combined points as the Legends went up by as many as 17.  The Blue responded with a 9-0 streak and had cut the difference to six at the buzzer.  Texas stayed on top until the final minute when Lindy Waters III tied it up at the free throw line and the two hit halftime at 65-all.

The Blue took their first lead of the game seconds into the second half, but the Legends stayed within reach.  Two minutes into the fourth, Oklahoma City was up by eight, but the visitors recovered with nine straight.  The two went back and forth until the midway mark when a 12-0 streak gave the Blue the boost they needed to finish it off. 

Justin Jackson led the Legends with 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists while Tony Bradley grabbed 15 points, 10 rebounds.  Pinson neared a triple-double with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Brandon Williams came off the bench for 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. 

Waters led the Blue with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 steals and Ousmane Dieng added 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Legends finish the regular season at home Saturday hosting the Maine Celtics at 7:30pm.  For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
