LEGENDS COME OUT COLD IN SIOUX FALLS

FRISCO, TX, (Jan. 31, 2023) – The Texas Legends (4-10) dropped their fourth straight in a 93-105 loss to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (8-6).
Texas led by as many as nine in the first quarter for their largest lead of the night. The two exchanged leads seven times in the first three quarters but the home team took over with just under two minutes remaining in the third and never looked back. Justin Champagnie knocked down an outside jumper with 1:39 to put Sioux Falls out of reach at 16-over.
The Legends out-rebounded their opponents 52-38 but had 23 turnovers to the Skyforce’s 15. Both teams struggled outside but the home team shot 52% overall (to Texas’ 39%) and finished 66-50 in points in the paint.
Tyler Dorsey had Texas’ team-high with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists while Taze Moore grabbed his sixth double-double of 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Mouhamadou Gueye and Amauri Hardy came off the bench for 14 points apiece along with 7 and 5 rebounds respectively.
Champagnie led the Skyforce with 20 points, 4 rebounds while Mychal Mulder grabbed 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jamal Cain added 14 points, 8 rebounds, and Marcus Garrett also tallied 14 points to go with 4 rebounds, 5 steals.
