FRISCO, TX (Feb. 16, 2017) – The Legends have announced a partnership with The Benson Group that will bring awareness to an organization caring for local children. On February 22, the Legends will host Frisco Fastpacs night, presented by The Benson Group.
Frisco Fastpacs began in 2013 when the founder finished a fast for Lent and felt called to take action on behalf of local children battling hunger. The organization has grown tremendously thanks to the donations and service hours of the community, and currently serves 700 Frisco ISD students a week. Legends players and staff recently served at Frisco Fastpacs, helping gather donations and package them for delivery to those in need.
“We are always looking for ways to take care of the children in this area, so Fastpacs is an organization near and dear to our hearts,” commented Mavericks President/General Manager and Legends Owner Donnie Nelson. “We are excited to shine a light on their cause and raise awareness to the needs of the organization so our fan base can join us in the efforts.”
The Legends will wear custom jerseys branded with both the Fastpacs and The Benson Group logos as well as the Legends logo. The night will highlight the volunteers and staff of Frisco Fastpacs as the Legends honor them as “Legends of the Night” giving a special thanks to Zane Benson and representatives from The Benson Group for making the night possible.
The Benson Group is owned and operated by Zane Benson. Benson has been in the mortgage industry for 15 years and works with multiple non-profits in the area, including serving at Frisco Fastpacs.
“We are truly excited about this partnership and the opportunities the game presents,” Frisco Fastpacs executive director Heather Canterbury stated. “Thank you to both The Benson Group and the Texas Legends for putting us in front of the Legends fanbase and educating them all on what we do.”
