The Texas Legends have acquired the returning player rights to DeAndre Daniels in a trade with the Agua Caliente Clippers. In return, Texas sends their own 4th round pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft.
Daniels (6-9, 196, Connecticut) was selected with the 7th pick in the 2nd round of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. As a rookie, Daniels saw action in five games in Summer League with the Raptors before joining the Perth Wildcats in the Australian NBL where he averaged 14.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 30 games. The California native joined the Raptors 905 for 8 games the following season and made an appearance with Toronto in the 2016 Summer League. Daniels played 35 games in Italy in the 2016-17 season averaging 13.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks and earning Italian Serie A2 Player of the Week. Last season, Daniels played 21 games with Agua Caliente averaging 10.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 25.4 minutes.
Daniels played three seasons with the Huskies averaging 13.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks as a junior and leading the team to a National Championship.
