The Legends have acquired the returning player rights to Dionte Christmas, LaDontae Henton, and Christian Wood in a three-team trade with Agua Caliente and Delaware. In return, Texas sends returning player rights to Cory Jefferson to the Blue Coats, and Agua Caliente receives the returning player rights to Marc Loving.
Christmas (6-5, 205, Temple) spent last season in Argentina, averaging 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 23 games. The Philadelphia native was a starter with Delaware in the 2016-17 season, averaging 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 31.6 minutes per game. Christmas played four years at Temple earning Atlantic 10 honors his last three years. He spent six of the last seven years overseas, joining the Phoenix Suns for 31 games in the 2013-14 season.
Henton (6-6, 215, Providence) played four years at Providence before heading overseas to play in Spain and the Philippines. The 26-year old spent the last two seasons in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors and Agua Caliente Clippers. In 49 games with the Clippers last season he averaged 15.5 points, 4.8 rebounds.
Wood (6-10, 214, UNLV) played two years for UNLV before signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. The rookie forward played 17 games with Philadelphia and joined the Delaware 87ers (now Blue Coats) for 32 games that season, averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game. Wood then signed with the Charlotte Hornets, also seeing time with the Greensboro Swarm on assignment. The California native played 45 games with Delaware last season, averaging 23.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and earning G League honors.
