The Texas Legends have acquired the returning player rights to Brandon Fields in a trade with the Agua Caliente Clippers. In return, Texas sends their 2019 NBA G League Draft 2nd round pick via the Delaware Blue Coats (36th overall).
Fields (6-4, 195, Nevada) played 49 games for Agua Caliente last season, averaging 9.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. The Texas native played four seasons at Nevada and averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists as a senior. Fields played in Morocco as a rookie, taking his team to the African Champions Cup Semifinals and Arab Club Championships, earning All-African Champions Cup 2nd Team, and winning the Morocco Throne Cup and Morocco League Championship. He spent three more seasons overseas before joining the G League in 2014 through a tryout with the Grand Rapids Drive. In 48 games between Grand Rapids and the Idaho Stampede, Fields averaged 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. Fields played in the 2016 NBA Summer League with the Dallas Mavericks, adding 9.8 points, 3,3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 4 games before heading back overseas. Prior to joining the Clippers, Fields was Ukrainian Superleague Champion and took his Lithuanian team to the Lithuanian League Semifinals.
