Legends Acquire Deng Geu

The Texas Legends have acquired forward Deng Geu from the available player pool. In a corresponding move, the team has waived guard Jeremiah Mordi.
Geu (6-9, 215, North Texas) has appeared in 5 games for SC Rasta Vechta in Germany this season averaging 1.4 points, 2.8 rebounds in 6.9 minutes per game. The 24-year-old Ugandan native spent three seasons at North Dakota State before transferring to the University of North Texas for his final season. In 128 career games, Geu averaged 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds.
As a rookie, Geu played for Horsens IC in Denmark averaging 12.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 39 games (25 starts). Geu has also joined the Ugandan national team in FIBA competitions three times, most recently helping the team to a sixth-place finish in FIBA Afrobasket last summer.
Geu is expected to be available as the team hits the road for a two-game stint in Memphis this Tuesday and Thursday. Both games tip-off at 7:00pm CT and can be viewed live on www.TexLegends.com
