JACKSON, JONES, AND WRIGHT NAMED TO ALL-NBA G LEAGUE TEAMS

Texas Legends forward Justin Jackson, guard Carlik Jones, and two-way forward/center Moses Wright have all earned All-NBA G League honors as announced today by the league.  Wright was named to the All-NBA G League First Team while Jackson and Jones each earned Third Team.  Jones was also named to the All-Rookie Team, the first to earn such honor in franchise history.

“The Legends are extremely proud of the accomplishments and League-wide recognition of Justin, Carlik, and Moses this past season,” said Legends General Manager Al Whitley.  “As with all success, we would also like to recognize our Basketball Operation coaches and staff.  Our overall team success was a direct reflection of their hard work and dedication!”

Jackson (6-8, 220, North Carolina) played 38 games with the Legends this season averaging 22.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists and earning NBA Call-Ups to the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns.  The former NCAA and NBA Champion grabbed the franchise’s season three-pointer record and neared a historic marker with 11 threes against the Lakeland Magic.

Jones (6-1, 185, Louisville) played 43 games for Texas as a rookie averaging 20.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.3 steals.  Earlier this season Jones was named G League Performer of the Week and earned back-to-back NBA Call-Ups to the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets.  Grabbing a team-high 14 double-doubles, Jones finished the season ranking 3rd in the G League in assists per game and held team single-game highs in scoring (42) and assists (15).

Wright (6-8, 226, Georgia Tech) played 30 games with the Agua Caliente Clippers prior to signing a two-way with the Dallas Mavericks.  In 12 games with Texas, Wright posted eight double-doubles and averaged 22.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks leading the team in both scoring and rebounds.

The Legends finished with an overall record of 28-22 and made their way to the Western Conference Semi-Finals, earning the franchise’s first-ever playoff victory.  The complete All-NBA G League Teams rosters are below.
