FRISCO, TX, (Mar. 18, 2024) – Justin Jackson had his fourth 30-point game of the season as the Texas Legends (16-14) blew past the Motor City Cruise (15-15) 122-102.

The Cruise grabbed their first and only lead of the night early in the first, but Texas responded with a 13-0 run to build a double-digit gap. Jackson came out firing on all cylinders hitting 4-of-4 outside for 16 first-quarter points as the Legends jumped to a 41-21 lead. Buddy Boeheim took the wheel in the second, pounding out 18 of the Cruise’s 33 points. Texas’ shooting iced down from 65% to 26% and the visitors put together a late 8-0 run to make it 59-54 at the half.

A 10-point performance from Jackson gave Texas the jump start they needed in the third, and the home team used six unanswered to climb to a 21-point advantage going into the final minutes. The Legends forged their largest lead of the night (+27) midway through the fourth, building a gap large enough to withstand a 20-point effort from Boeheim and fend off Motor City’s comeback attempts.

Jackson knocked down 6-of-11 outside for 31 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Erik Stevenson finished with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals, and Alex Fudge came off the bench for 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Olivier-Maxence Prosper grabbed 16 points, 7 rebounds, and Tyler Hall added 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Tony Bradley grabbed the game’s only double-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Warith Alatishe posted 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Boeheim led all scorers with 40 points while Zavier Simpson tagged on 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jared Rhoden finished the Cruise’s double digits with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
