HUSTLE FINISH STRONG TO TAKE DOWN TEXAS

FRISCO, TX (Dec. 10, 2022) - The Texas Legends (7-8) dropped their final home game of 2022 to the Memphis Hustle (7-6) 102-117 in a fourth quarter push that gave the Grizzlies’ affiliate the 2-1 lead on the season series.
The first quarter stayed close with a one possession lead max on either end. Yudai Baba scored his first points of the quarter on a three-point play with 1:31 left to put Texas on top at the buzzer. Justin Bean played all 12 minutes of the second and put out 12 points to help boost the Hustle to a double-digit edge before half.
The Legends held the visitors to 15 points in the third, cutting the difference to one before Damien Jefferson finished the quarter at the line taking Memphis into the huddle up 79-76. The Hustle opened the fourth with a seven-point streak and held on to double-digits the remainder of the game.
Tyler Dorsey, Grant Riller, and McKinley Wright IV all finished with 21 points while Tyler Hall and Josh Nzeakor combined for an additional 21. Taze Moore had a game-high 11 rebounds off the bench.
Dakota Mathias led the Hustle’s scoring efforts with 24 points, 7 assists. Justin Bean added 23 points, 5 rebounds, and Jacob Gilyard tabbed the game’s only double-double of 12 points, 13 assists.
