FRISCO, TX, (Nov. 26, 2022) – Jaden Hardy posted a career-high 41 points to lead another fourth-quarter rally attempt by the Texas Legends (5-5), but the 24-point gap proved too large as Texas fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (5-3) 132-143.
The visitors took the lead early and never looked back. After opening with 13 unanswered points, RGV finished the first with a 47-20 advantage. Texas’ Jaden Hardy and Tyler Dorsey combined for 22 points in the second as the Legends knocked down 60% outside to cut the halftime difference to 16.
The fourth quarter opened with the home team down 24, but with 2:31 left to play the lead was down to nine. Texas fought back on both ends of the court, but the Vipers finished a perfect 4-4 from the line to hold off the rally.
Hardy’s career-high topped the night as he added 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Dorsey finished with 26 points, 4 rebounds, and McKinley Wright added 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.
