HARDY CRASHES SPURS’ PARTY WITH CAREER NIGHT

FRISCO, TX, (Dec. 10, 2022) – Jaden Hardy had another career night to lead the Texas Legends (7-7) in a 129-121 victory over the Austin Spurs (4-10).
The Spurs started off hot, hitting 20-8 within the first six minutes, but Texas responded with a 22-2 run to end the quarter up 36-27. The home team stretched the lead in the second, taking their largest of the night (+22) around the four-minute mark, but an 8-0 by Austin cut the halftime difference to 66-52 in Texas’ favor.
The Legends held onto their double-digit edge until the final minute of the third when Kenneth Faried hit back-to-backs to make it a nine-point game. Taze Moore answered from outside to close out the quarter with Texas up 12. Hardy went off for 17 points in the fourth, but the lead dwindled. Midway through the quarter the visitors streaked through eight straight to make it a two-score difference with 3:35 on the clock. Tyler Dorsey responded with a quick five points and Texas finished 7-of-8 at the line to hold off the rally attempt.
Hardy topped his career-high 39 points with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Tyler Hall came off the bench for 23 points, 2 steals, and Tyler Dorsey tagged on 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Chaundee Brown Jr. led the Spurs with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals, and Dominick Barlow added 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Jordan Goldwire finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Jordan Hall grabbed the game’s only double-double of 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.
