FRISCO, TX, (Dec. 9, 2023) – Dexter Dennis had a career night for the Texas Legends (4-8) but the team came up short to the Austin Spurs (5-6) as a pair of San Antonio assignees combined for 61 points, 23 rebounds and finished the night on top 124-122.

The game stayed close with six ties before the half.  The largest swing came in the third as the Legends opened 9-2 to take their largest lead of the night (+9).  The Spurs responded with a 14-3 run and went up 11 before a reverse layup from Theo Pinson closed the quarter.  Austin took their largest lead early in the fourth (+13) but Texas chipped away.  With 17 seconds, Jelly Walker knocked down an outside jumper to put Texas within three but the home team missed the final take to give the Spurs the 1-0 lead on the season series.
