Former Legends forward Josh Childress has signed a deal with the Denver Nuggets. Childress (6-8, 210, Stanford) joined the Legends 2015-16 roster where he averaged 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. Childress was an All-American for the Cardinals before being drafted sixth overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
As a rookie with the Hawks, Childress appeared in 80 games, starting 44, and averaged 10.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. Childress played 391 NBA games before heading overseas, playing in Australia and Japan the last three seasons. The NBA veteran was most recently seen in the Big 3 league and becomes the first player to sign an NBA deal after playing in the Big 3.
