Ascend Hand Therapy Joins The Legends Family

By Texas Legends Staff /January 22, 2021

The Texas Legends have announced a new member of the Legends Family, Ascend Hand Therapy, a leading provider of hand and upper extremity therapy in the DFW Metroplex.

Ascend Hand Therapy opened their doors in The Colony in 2017. Owners David Myers and Oliver Serrano both had a passion for helping patients and wanted to combine that with a fun, energetic atmosphere.

“It was important for us to build a therapy center that helped people get better, but was also somewhere people wanted to go,” said Myers. “We have fun as a staff, and that naturally impacts our patients. The partnership with the Legends was another way for us to accomplish those goals – have fun as a team and grow as a business.”

Ascend recently opened their second location, this time in Frisco, with both clinics specializing in hand and upper extremity therapy services and custom splints.

“Ascend Hand Therapy is all about having fun while taking care of their patients,” said Legends President/General Manager Malcolm Farmer. “We are excited to welcome them in and provide new avenues for them to grow as a business and as a team, while having fun.”

Ascend Hand Therapy will have access to all Legends Owner’s Club events and private networking series. When home games return to Comerica Center, Ascend will have premium hospitality for staff outings and customer appreciation events.

“This relationship was important to us,” said Serrano. “We are always looking for new ways to get out in the community and to get active with our staff and clients. The partnership allows us to do all of that while building relationships on the medical side as well.”
