Coach – Bob MacKinnon

Legends Head Coach Bob MacKinnon will join four former Legends players in Orlando as an assistant coach for the Mavericks’ NBA Summer League team!  MacKinnon is entering his second season with the Legends and making his second Summer League appearance with the parent club. MacKinnon led the Legends to the winningest season in franchise history and set a team record with five NBA Call-Ups. The New York-native will be taking a break from hosting coaches’ clinics around the world to join the Mavericks’ Summer League coaching squad.

Jameel Warney

Jameel Warney (6-8, 260, Stony Brook) joins Dallas in Orlando for his second NBA Summer League trip. Warney was allocated to the Legends last season as an affiliate out of Mavericks training camp. The rookie played 44 games with Texas, averaging 17.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 blocks while tallying 14 double-doubles. Warney played 4 years at Stony Brook averaging 19.9 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 3.0 blocks as a senior. He earned America East honors all four years becoming the most decorated player in program history and the first to have his jersey retired (2017).

Keith Hornsby

Keith Hornsby (6-4, 210, LSU) joins the Mavericks in Orlando for his first Summer League appearance! Hornsby saw action in five preseason games with Dallas last season where he grabbed 3.2 points, 1.4 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game. Hornsby spent two seasons at UNC-Asheville before transferring to LSU and averaging 13.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 steals his senior year. The Legends drafted Hornsby in the 1st round (9th overall) of the 2016 NBA G League Draft. The rookie played 37 games with Texas last season where he put up 4.5 points, 2.0 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game.

Brandon Ashley

Brandon Ashley (6-9, 230, Arizona) will join the Dallas Mavericks in Orlando for the second straight year! Ashley played 3 years with the Wildcats where he earned PAC-12 honors, including PAC-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player. As a rookie, Ashley donned a Mavs uniform for Training Camp before signing with the Legends as an affiliate player. Ashley played 33 games with Texas in the 2015-16 season, averaging 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 blocks and earning a spot in the (then) D-League All-Star Game.

Satnam Singh

Satnam Singh (7-2, 290, India) will play in his fourth NBA Summer League with the Mavericks. The big man was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2015 NBA Draft by Dallas and allocated to the Legends with his NBA rights held by the Mavs.

 Pierre Jackson

Pierre Jackson (5-11, 180, Baylor) is joining the Detroit Pistons in Orlando for his fifth NBA Summer League appearance.  Jackson appeared in 28 games (28 starts) for the Legends last season, averaging 22.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.9 steals in 35.9 minutes per game.  Jackson was drafted in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers after two seasons with the Baylor Bears that earned him Big 12 honors and NIT MVP.  Jackson earned two NBA Call-Ups to the Dallas Mavericks in his time with the Legends where he saw action in eight games.  In the Mavericks’ January 22nd win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Jackson added 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists in 18 minutes.

CJ Williams

CJ Williams (6-5, 225, NC State) is joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in Las Vegas for his fifth NBA Summer League appearance!  Williams played with the San Antonio Spurs in last year’s Summer League before joining the Mavericks for training camp.  He was then allocated to the Legends as an affiliate player and played all 50 games of the 2016-17 season for Texas.  Williams averaged 12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 29.3 minutes per game.
